Here is my pool related Christmas wish

1) Have the APA and BCAPL work together to grow the amateur game iin both the handicapped (APA) and non handicapped (BCAPL) formats. This would lie more with the APA as I am quite sure Mark Griffin would be on board

2) Have the 2 leagues set up a 3rd entity and set aside money to hire a promoter and some staff to take over the WPBA and form a mens pro tour

3) Set up a system that uses the leagues as a feeder system to the tour. IE Top 4 at National Singles for each league get tour cards the next year etc.

4) Begin a cycle where the amateurs become interested in the pro's and the pro's need the amateur's to be succesful.

5) Have all the professional players check their ego's at the door and realize that this format will be in the best interest of the game.

6) Begin 2002 with 10 events and have the mens and womens tours play out of the same venue at the same time.

7) Have the pro's do exhibitions a week or 2 before the events in order to draw interest and market the tour

8) Have the staff secure venues and sponsors for EACH stop on the tour tgus generating enough prize money to make it work

8) Find a way to get the tour on TV sso that we can get some exposue - maybe ESPN is just to expensive to start with. Try versus or another network

The way i see it, the APA and BCAPL have been the 2 best organizations in terms of making money off the game that we love. Why not use them to grow the game TOGETHER and use their experise to develop a pro tour system that works.

OK Santa, it is now all up to you - as everything hinges on APA - BCAPL co-operation.
