Picked this well used cue up at Hanks from a guy who won it back in early 90's.
He sold his Meucci back then, and played with this Schon ever since.
Everything is still straight after all these years.
I'm considering a refinish, but can't decide.

Great find. That's some nice curly on that bottom shaft. Wish they'd had proper tip installs...those yellow micarta ferrules look a little coned. Maybe it's just the pic, though.

I noticed that too but seems like cues are terrible to take pictures of, they look bent and coned often.

I would get cue refinished, probably by Scot at Proficient , new tips, new wrap, the whole deal and this cue would be a beauty.

If the ferrelles are coned I would get them replaced too.

He probably did the tip work himself  and I think the ferrules can be fixed, but I'm
happy that he never changed out the micarta.
The curly shaft has more figuring than the forearm

But did you get a glass of water with it?

Great cues those old Schons....

We were thinking coffee
No heat in the place and it was like 5-below outside.
Hank was with us when we made the deal.
I think today was the first time I've ever had a whiskey drink at 10:00 in the morning.
It was cold in there, and it's cold up here in the mountains, and that's no shit.
