I will be out this way next week on business, travelling through NY and CT, have a few nights in Buffalo and was wondering if there are any decent rooms to get a few games in. Preferably near the airport, thanks.

yes there is...not to far from the airport....CLASSIC CUE...was once DANNY D's...Danny Deliberto's old pool room...chances are he will be there...once and a while Hatch pops in but hasn't much lately.

Phil,

Classic Cue is on Transit Road roughly a mile South of the airport (Genesee Street). Used to be Buffalo's best room. Haven't played there in a few years. Bison Billiards is roughly a mile north of the airport on Main Street. Four Diamond Smarts, eight or so GC III's, A small Diamond table, a couple of Valley's and two Gabriels heated billiard tables. A family oriented business. Not sure if Pocketeers or the Hippodrome are still open. Both of them are much further away.

Bison billiards is a family run place...no alcohol and in my opinion some of the tables there need work...except the two 3-cushion tables...they play great...Pocketeers and the Hippodrome are still open...Hippodrome has moved to a new location and the last time i was there they had duct tape on the on the snooker table and the neighborhood wasnt the best in the area...Pocketeers has real good tables and the most of all the halls except last night when i was there they had no air conditioning that worked...i say stick with Classic Cue...air works...nice gold crowns...and you will find a game

let me know...i can put you in touch with any of the owners

Feel free to stop into our place, Bison Billiards. We have eight diamond 9' tables, one of which is less than a year old from Turning Stone. We also have four Brunswick GC's, two valley bar boxes, two diamond bar boxes, and two Gabriel's 3 cushion tables. Our eight diamond nine footers and two Gabriel's 3 cushion tables just received brand new Simonis last fall and are arguably the best tables in the area.

Also, if you are looking for any action, we always have strong shooters playing there any given night of the week. My father or I will be behind the counter, stop in and introduce yourself. We do not serve alcohol right now, however our air conditioning works and is ALWAYS on. We also serve several different sandwiches, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks.

For more information, pictures, or questions check out our website at BisonBilliards.com. Our phone number is 716.632.0281.

Hope to see you in!

Thanks,

Jr.
