Welcome to LA (lower Akron)
There's a nice albeit small poolroom on Manchester Road in Akron. That's where I've been playing since I rolled back into town. Their @ Crown Billiards 3333 Manchester Rd Akron 44319 if you want to Google Map them. Nineball tourney on Monday nights very tough race to 3 but anything can happen. Oh 644-3985 is the phone number. There's Fiddlestix in Canton. It's owned by Chris Szuter and his Dad. I can't remember his number and you don't want my directions
I've never gotten there twice the same way. The action in Canton is tougher but his day time rate is dirt cheap, so is Crowns come to think of it. Several champions can be spotted in Canton just depending on whats going on. There's also a pretty active bar table scene in the area but I can't help you there.
If you come to Crown Billiards ask at the counter if Andy is there & introduce yourself if I am.

I like Crown as well.I tend to play at Fiddlestix more as I live very close.I can tell you if you want some action come on down there are a few guys that will play.The phone number to Fiddlestix is 330-498-8422 the address is 5350 Fulton DR.N.W. North Canton.I run a weekly handicap one pocket tournament on Sunday at 3.There is also a bar box tournament on Saturday night starts at 7.Hey if you would like to meet up to play some you can pm me and I will give you my number,we don't have to play for anything.My name is Nate so if you come down ask for me.

My post is #11 that lists several around the area. Now, some of these have closed. Maybe someone familar with the area now can critique this list. I lived in that area from 1991 to 1998. Also, follow the posts down and someone has made some comments to my list describing what has closed to my list at that time. Good luck. Wish I was there with you now. Lots of good people and friends in that area of Ohio.

I miss the Akron Opens in Dottie Starcher's pool room in Akron. It was a whose who of players in the mid 80's every fall with only 5K added. Joe Kerr promoted and the action was great. There is such history in Akron...I feel like taking a road trip just to help you look. Good luck

I lived in Twinsburg, so I was geographically located between both areas. You know as well as I do that it is 20 minutes to go any here in that area. Cleveland ain't that far! (course, I liked to drive...
