Looking for a room with good tables, safe, and respectable patrons. I travel through periodically and would like to find a place to shoot when I am in town.

Thx

I frequented Memphis quite often years ago. High Pockets was always my first stop. It was clean, good tables, well run, good clientel and had good action back then.

It has been my experience that any "Tourist Trap" area such as Beale St. or The French Quarter rarely have anything worth your time if your looking for a decent pool hall. I was recently in Nashville off Broadway. They had what appeared from the outside to be a pool hall worth looking into at least. But I was visiting family and did not enter.I think it was Buffalo Billiards. I could be wrong. Anyway give High Pockets a shot. It was always a good stop for me.

You going to high pockets tonight?

get to beale st. check out peoples first, but understand the tables are antique and play that way. I had a very decent run end with a ball rolling off about 2 inches.
play on the 5x10 snooker table, very tight... great times.

you might not get away from beale st this night, that's ok
lots of good pool within 10 miles of downtown.
One place, don't remember the name had 4 or 5 9' diamonds and a 5x10 billiard table open 24 hours.
check out the phone book or maybe your gps can get you there
stevne

I recommend "The Rec" in Southaven... It's not "in" Memphis but it's on the outskirts of Memphis...

GREAT people there...

I always have fun there and action is easy to find if you're looking for it...

"The Rec" not "The Rack"... BIG difference...

i have lived here for 20 years and i very seldom visit the beale st. area except for an occasional concert.

there are safer areas in town to have a good time, especially if you are looking to shoot pool.

the 24 hr place you are talking about is the rack. the 5x10 you are talking about is a heated 3 cushion table.
