I have heard many good things about SAS shoes. SAS are custom fitted to your exact size and needs. They're USA made and they are not cheap, but if you get a prescription from a podiatrist you can use funds from a Flex (MSA) account to pay for them.
Has anyone here tried SAS shoes? I'm planning on getting a pair of their 'Bout Time model. I have flat feet, poor circulation and swelling so comfort is paramount to me.
SAS are supposed to be the most comfotable. It stand for San antonio shoes and weve got a store here locally. I tried some on the other day and it was like walking on air. Theyre 100% handmade in San antone and have replacable inserts. but at 150 a pop they aint cheap. All the nurses and mailmen around here wear them. Anyone that spends long hours on their feet seem to be wearing these. Some of em are kinda dressy too so thats good for dress code tourneys. One day ill get me a pair and report back.
But for the longest time ive been using an old pair of nike air force ones. Low tops, with a dr scholls back pain insert. Theyre nice and broken in and the insert makes em comfy. Been using em for years and theyre great. And for a dress up night I got all black patent leather air forces.
