Pool Shooting Secrets of Mark Tadd

Since Mark started a thread and perpetuated it with absolutely no clue of what he was talking about, I figured it would be fair for me to do likewise and talk about the pool shooting secrets of Mark Tadd.

First I'd like to discuss the philosophy of winning nine ball. I want to talk about speed control, english, kicks, how I factor in throw or deflection, and any other area that you'd like to bring up.

Then I'll discuss my views on winning 14.1. How I like to attack the rack and what my style of play is.


Wait a minute....I can't do this...I have no idea what HIS secrets are. I'd have to be stupid to even attempt this. Therefore, I'd like to defer to the maestro himself........take it away Marky Mark, and for all of the peanut gallery out there, ask away.

I actually started this thread to elicit responses from AZ members to Mark, and for Mark to talk about what he knows best...POOL! Not about himself or golf.

Up to this point, I haven't seen one thing about POOL from Mark. He started a thread about pool vs. golf and then got into a pissing contest with various individuals regarding their responses or totally discounting their opinions. He then started a thread about me that has nothing to do with anything and especially not about pool.

I bear no grudge toward you Mark, nothing. I must have been living in a vacuum on the east coast when your were a superstar on the west coast, but to be honest I've never heard of you, although many on the west coast have whose opinions I respect and a few here on the east coast as well. But most of the posters here on the east coast don't have a clue about you. If you've done what you've done, I can appreciate and respect that.

But the honeymoon is over, we know about you....you know a little about a few of us...but how about some meat and potatoes now? There are some that want to move you to "Ask the Pro's". Hey whatever...but while you're here on the forum how about answering some questions about the game from your point of view? Is that so tough? Are you ready to answer some questions from interested members about pool, or do you just want to take this in your own direction?
 
Hey, Like the swiss I always try and stay neutral but I have to agree, I doubt if anyone outside the US has heard of Mark which doesn't mean a great deal. However most people seem to agree that he was a talented player. Lets hear about it, come on Mark, share some "Pool Stuff"?

except for layout and strategy questions, i don't believe pool can be explained well on a message board. stroke, spin etc etc.... for these things, words can't describe what the eye can see. and people can't see their own mistakes well enough to explain what their problem is.

you can write a two pages on the problem you're having, and someone could take a three pages trying to solve your problem,,,when all it might take is for someone TO WATCH you play, and say "hey, you have a hitch in your stroke"

it's hard to impart pool wisdom on a forum. and then again, some q's might be just too elementary.

so far no one has asked me a specific question. and if the did id was with a little sarcasim afeter a so called apology. or a big lump question that had no specifics. soooooooooo im waiting and if no questions thats ok to. i will still practice and comment on posts if i know the answers. btw if you do a search i have answered questions that may not have directed toward me and gave ,my two cents.........:)
 
Alright Mark, here's a specific question for ya:

How do you aim when using outside or inside english? Do you pivot the cue to compensate for squirt, or aim on a parellel path?

Mark I don't want to do searches on Q&A, that's why this board exists.

Here's a question for you...what big name pro's have you played, what were the results, and how would you assess their playing skills in different areas along with their individual toughness as a competitor?

ask me that in a new post that way everyone can get involved. do you mean gamblin or tournys?

I was originally thinking of gambling, but that's a good point about tournaments since some guys are better at one or another and not necessarily both.

What do you mean by a new post so everybody else can get involved? What's wrong with this one? This thread was meant to be a positive thread to get things on the right track and get some REAL interaction on POOL.
Contrary to what you might think, I'm not your enemy. There are others on here that are starting to get pissed off with threads that just ramble off and don't pertain to pool and that are all about you in some way shape of form.

Seems like YOU might want to be MY enemy by starting a NEGATIVE thread which I refuse to read or answer to. You do know that YOU have the power and sole discretion to delete it, don't you? If you want to keep that thread going, that's fine, I'll know where we stand.
