Pool-Snooker poll..........

What game, pool/snooker, do you play the most?

  • A.Pool

  • B.Snooker

Results are only viewable after voting.
This year I've played snooker maybe twice a month, prior to that I only played snooker for about 15 years.
I enjoy each game for different reasons.
I feel like the two options in the poll are a bit too restrictive.
I play in devon, only way i can play pool is to have my own table. The travel, just isn't worth it. When had to lose, my first table, i just wanted to keep playing, so Snooker was my second option, And i never liked english 8 ball

I think this poll is good enough. Its simple. How many threads have you seen on the main forum, talking about snooker? Its naturally geared towards pool.
What would be the point of adding Chinese 8 ball or carom?

My intent was not to please you believe me. I clearly stated which game do you play mostly. Not 'restrictive' in any way. I knew it would be heavy on the pool side but i still wanted to see it.

Did you mean in the last week, last month, year, lifetime?
Wasn't thinking about myself. Just the integrity of the information and reliability of the data you would collect :)

My intention wasn't to add more disciplines to the pot. Simply reflecting the period of time over which the preference is made (or the balance in which the preference is made could work too) :) - like, I selected pool, as in the last 6 months or so, I'm in the position to play it more regularly. But, that hasn't always been the case, and doesn't really reflect my overall preference between the two.

Whereabouts in Devon are you situated? Maybe we can DM?
Had a few DMs with some players who also have a table in the UK, but they are very far from me.
Was thinking to go home over winter and looking for someone to play/some table time. Otherwise, I'll end up getting smashed by my father at snooker for 3weeks straight...

I think if I had a snooker table to play on I would play it more than my pool table. It seems like I enjoy watching snooker a lot more than pool also. I guess I am just a little burnt out on standard pool games at times.

I have periods. I play pool most of time but sometimes i got buzz from another game. Played more snooker 2017 than pool and then got my 147, 2 times. Then kinda lost interest for that because practice was so repetitive. Then I played some Finnish Kaisa and did well on tournaments and won bunch of ranking tourneys and one Finnish Champs and got couple other medals too. Now I play mostly carom alongside of pool and I feel it is making me better on pool so i gonna keep doing it :)
Bro you impress the shit out of me. All the vids i watch you seem to play all games pretty damn sporty.

more snooker for me, I like the complex reasoning involved, not that pool doesn't' involve reasoning, I just find there is a bit more planning and strategy in snooker, like when you are playing doubles and find you need a hook or two to win and the strategy of winning completely changes.
I enjoy some of the different carom games too as they teach me some other skills. some are so serious about one or the other that they won't play the other as it takes time away from practicing what they want to get better at. I'm not out to prove anything or be the best in the world. I just enjoy the time we spend playing and get a lot of satisfaction from my own progress.
