The Practice
I got that call today, the call we all fear
But I knew that it would come
Denver luggage was callin’ on the phone
They said they never had my cue
And I thought of all the bad luck
All the struggles I’ve been through
And how I would lose without my cue
Though, there are a few voices on the senior tour
That make me quit whining
And want for something more
I’m learning to shoot without my cue
But I miss it sometimes
The more I know, the less I understand
All the things I thought I knew, I have to learn again
I’ve been tryin’ to get down, to a Vision Center
But my bladder gets weak
And my thoughts seem to scatter
But I think it’s about

These times are so uncertain
But I’m a player undefined
Not often filled with rage
We all need a better handicap
Specially designed for people my age
Trust and self assurance that can lead to success
They’re the very things we need, I guess
Pride and competition cannot fill but it can warm

But I want to win it A-L-L.
