What is everybody getting for Christmas with regards to pool related stuff?

Yes, yes, I know. You might not know yet since it's not Christmas Day yet.

But does anybody have a wish list, or already bought stuff, etc, etc?

My Christmas comes in the February/March time frame when my new 9-foot Diamond Professional table is delivered.

So you've finally accepted that? :D 🎄

I thought I was getting naked, Natural Born Naked, but production is delayed at Becue! I did get two pieces of Taom chalk delivered yesterday (figured why not try some) and a black spotted cue ball the day before (enjoying practicing with that) - best gift is one of our daughters will be home for Christmas and she'll knock some balls around with me.

We're remodeling our house to put in a new pool room/table

Just a Diamond bar box, but we're old and that's what we play on 99% of the time anyways, so…
You win best Xmas gift for a room and a table to put in it.
I may be trading my 9' pro-am for a blue label bar box next year.
Wish I had room for both.

I got mine arrived early yesterday. it's a Tiger Fortis Pro shaft with a Tiger Onyx tip. no experience with the shaft nor with the tip. haven't tried it yet but the tip looks good imo. verdict will come soon once I try it later in a few hours. I'll hold the tip if I see if it's good enough before I send it for a replacement. I have my Ultraskin Pro tip on standby for now. so far, people say the Onyx plays similar to the Fire Medium Ultraskin, We'll see later if that's true.

Report back how you like the Ultraskin tip. One of the few I haven’t tried.

I got mine last night.

Tricky shot on the next-to-last stripe, had to draw back and left all the way to the side rail to avoid three interfering balls and the 8-ball 1-ball's width and 2 match sticks from the same rail. Ran out.

I have 3 Ultraskins on some of my cues. 1 Pro, 1 Super Soft, 1 Med Fire. all 3 are great and play differently. for me, I love the PRO the best. I haven't miscued with it yet and applied aggressive english on it without a problem. the Super Soft comes in 2nd which is also great. I find the Med Fire great for those more controlled spin.

as far as the Tiger Fortis Pro goes, it didn't take long for me to get the hang of it and was stringing ridiculous shots with it. comment on the Tiger Onyx cue tip is that it is indeed very close to the performance of the Ultraskin Med Fire. I find myself finessing my draw shots differently and quite a bit more slower and weaker. the backspin roll is softer/slower and just enough to get you there. I'm still on the fence on replacing it since it hits consistently although I'm annoyed on the frequency of the miscues. not sure if it has to do with the slimmer taper or the much smaller tip size or how to finesse the shot with it. I'll give it a few more games and see if I can adapt to it more as time goes on. otherwise, I'll book a tip replacement soon.
