Pool Table Care

If you care to find out who supplies the pockets ask if they would put reinforcing leathers so if they split you have that extra protection against damaging the pool balls.

I really appreciate everyone bringing that to my attention, as I figured it just was due to humidity.

As an update, I called the company who moved the table and put the cloth on, they apologized instantly and coming out to fix it on Monday. So it seems it was an honest mistake and awesome to see they care!

Thanks again
Good deal, good cloth requires a pretty specific process to get perfect. If it's very high quality cloth and you kind of have to get a feel for the weave/behavior of the cloth. Kind of like using scissors, you have to get your tongue moving right! 😅 I think you'll also have better luck with the stretch once the cloth has acclimated to the humidity. I originally stretched mine in the dead of winter (no humidity) and it loosened up when summer humidity came around. Last week I put new facings on which required new rail cloth and re-stretched the bed cloth. It's super tight now. I purposely turned my humidifier off so it could get nice and humid and let the cloth relax some to aid in the stretch. It was perfectly tight with humidity, so it only gets better when the dehumidifier is on. Glad they are making it right, that's the main thing!:)

As far as future advice, if you experience pocket rattle, next time you get cloth put on, have them replace the facings with 3/16" 60 durometer neoprene facings. The facings really change the table for the better and replacing facings is a job that any decent table mechanic can do.
