I’m looking for anyone that can offer some information on my pool table. I know it is a Brunswick table, but have no idea what model or year it was made. It is nearing the end of its life, as it has been taken apart and assembled too many times. Many of the fittings are stripped out and it is in need of a restoration. It still plays great, but is not as solid as it once was. It has 3-piece, 1 ¾ inch slate (yes, 1 ¾ inches) that is in excellent condition. I’m looking for some advice on whether to restore it to its original condition or build a new table around the slate. I have attached a couple pictures below.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Are you sure that table is a Brunswick? The ball holder and the legs don't look like the GC's with which I am familiar. And I never knew Brunswick ever used thicker slate than 1" in the latter half of the century.

THere are a lot of companies who have made GC imitations over the years. Is there a plastic nameplate on the head rail that has the little Brunswick 'bowler boy' in it or the word Brunswick?

What fittings are stripped? Except for the slate screws (which can be fixed by filling the wood and rescrewing) there is not much on a GC to strip. THe rail bolts go into nuts and both of those can be replaced at a hardware store, though to find the original pressure washer type may prove difficult. The end pieces can be filled and tapped out.

Put up some more pictures. Let us see the top of the head rail and a photo from underneath that shows the framing. Then someone here can tell you what you have. Give us a wider shot of those legs.

Hope you find help.
