Pool Table lamp...help.

I want to make a functional, no frills lamp for my 7 foot table that is located in the garage. I was thinking about mounting 3 metal shades on a 60" long metal bar, but I was wondering what kind of incandescent bulbs do you believe work best for this, and what wattage. Regular clear bulbs or frosted ones? 60, 75 or 100 watts each? Are the metal shades a good idea, or they should be translucent like glass?

Thanks for your sugs!

Here are 2 easy ways to make a good light. if you fancy them up, like I did, more money is invested

Get the 100 or 150 watt compact florecent... Daylight bulbs..
they work well and will save electricity.

Something like that is that I want to make, ceebee (first picture) but more simple. Your lamps look great!
Pool101, are those that you mention the ones that are spiral shaped?

Thanks!

definately use the compact fluorescent bulbs ... i got the 100 watt daylight bulb in a 4 shade on a 9ft table and no shadows at all...
