Hello everyone,

I believe here is the GREAT NEWS for all of you guys who have pool tables or who own a pool hall.

I am custom making PREDATOR ARENA style light for 7' and 9' tables, with less than half its price and better dimension. Also it is ULTRA LIGHT, around only 10-15lbs (black aluminum body with premium LED light source). Brightness will be 18000lm for 9' and 14500lm for 7'. It can be remote controled as well.

Please let me know who is interested in getting one.

-Tony

Very interested to see how this turns out. I’m limping along with a couple temporary shop lights over the table in the unfinished basement.

I am custom making PREDATOR ARENA style light for 7' and 9' tables, with less than half its price and better dimension (should be around $400-$500 shipped, depends on shipping cost). Also it is ULTRA LIGHT, around only 10-15lbs (light weight doesn't mean cheap quality. black aluminum body with premium LED light source from a Listed company). Brightness will be 18000lm for 9' and 14500lm for 7'. It can be remote controled as well.

Please let me know who is interested in getting one.

I will install mine in middle of March and will show you guys how it performs.

Stay tuned guys and be safe.

Are those dimmable? 18,000 lumens seems like A LOT. The light Diamond sells .. that provides light similar to daylight with no shadows .. has around 7500 lumens for the 7-8' table light.

For ecnomic purpose, It's not dimmable. And it will not be too bright for the pool table. It will be a game changer in billiard light industry comparing to diamond light. Please check out Predator arena light for how it performs. Everything is perfect, expect the price. $1,000+ just for a lighting system is too much. I am making similar ones with better dimension for less than half its price.

Don't have my rails on yet .. but was able to test my light. Light box in which I mounted an LED wraparound fixture with 6500 Lumens 4000 Kelvin. Looks excellent. Simonis Tournament Green cloth. No shadows. Fixture cost $119 and the wood light box I built for $100.00 .. the rustic design blends with my table and decor.

Are you sure diamond/predator doesn't have a patent on the light?

Seems like there is nothing patentable there. Simply LED strip lights arranged in a perimeter format. Anybody can buy LED strips .. attach them to a frame (metal or wood), run the wire, and have your own unique fixture.

The light fixture that came with the table I bought had four 8' HO T12 lamps. I put ballast bypass LED in there, 5000k and it's great light. Even added diffusers to the light. $80 for the lamps, if I'd had to build the box that held the fixtures, maybe $100, plus the actual fixtures at $55/each. So maybe $400 to build out a replica.

You'd be surprised with what is patentable and not...That perimeter pattern may very well be patentable.

EDIT: I searched for a patent and found one (probably predators) from 2015:

https://patents.google.com/patent/US20160037139

So you will need to talk to a lawyer and figure out how to get around the patent or you will be sued and lose 100% of your profits.

Thanks a lot for your info. For the Led light itself, I believe they don't have pattern. There are alot these kind of square LED light on the market, but most of them are made for dining table size. For example: shorturl.at/irSV3
And I am not using their dimension as well. I also have a structure patent for installing this kind of square LED light.
But to be safe, I will talk to my lawyer about this patent stuff before mass production.

LED light for 9' will be $4xx, for 7' will be $3xx. Final price will be anounced later this month once I got the first shipment to figure out how much will the shipping cost.

I have to admit predator is a real PIONEER in pool game industry.

Just received some lights today, plan to install mine this week, and will keep you all updated how it performs after that.

Having my name on 52 patents (and owning 2 of them outright, and having written more than 10 of them, and been a witness in several patent cases) what got patented here is a means of uniformly illuminating a pool table, and a means to position a camera to record billiard games using uniformly illuminated billiard table.

You can build a lighting fixture looking exactly like the Diamond one, and as long as you do not uniformly illuminate the table you are not infringing on the patent. If you direct lights from one side towards the other and achieve uniform illumination you are unlikely to infringe on this patent. If the plan is scaled such the the periphery of the light is not "substantially' above the rails of the table, you are unlikely to infringe on this patent.

And in practice, if you build one and it is for your own use, you are not liable to prosecution.

Hi tony, I might be interested in getting one. I have a 7 footer and am dissatisfied with my current lighting system. One thing though, I cannot hang it 65 inches above my table. Maybe more like 48 - 54ish. Is that a problem? I’d like to know the cost and if there are any options that are available or are they all the same?

Please respond to my inquiry at. Wirtzworld@att.net

Thanks,
John

Recommend height is 45 - 60 inch above table, it will work perfect in your case. Just emailed you for details, please check it out.

Thanks,
