Can someone tell me how much pool table slate weighs? Please no guesses or approximations if you don't mind. Unless those approximations are within a few pounds. I've heard enough approximations to make me wish I had never asked anybody. However...since there are table mechanics here. Maybe someone can answer these questions:
1. What is the total weight of all three pieces of slate on an 8' table if the slate is one inch thick?
2. If for example you said 200 lbs. Can I assume that a 3/4 inch slate is exactly 75% of that weight?
3. What is the total weight of slate on a 7' table?
I am assuming that a person who has been installing tables for several years would have these figures in their head and could rattle them off very quickly.
