How many pool (of any type-billiard, snooker, pyramid, etc.) tables in the world? Locally, we probably have 25 o 50 public tables and I would guess that many private ones and a population of 100,000. So maybe 1 table per thousand. So in the US 300,000 tables. Guess about a billion live in developed countries. if the fraction held that would be about 10 million tables, so maybe double that in the world?
