Pool Tattoo's

I was 39 when I got my first tat. My husband is an artist and did the artwork. I found a tattoo artist that only does custom work, and reproduced it faithfully. Later I went back and had him add some dogwood branches w/blossoms for each of my kids; I am from VA originally.
My second tat is pool-related. It is on my right wrist, to bring me good luck with my stroke. :) It is my avatar, and my womens' league team logo.

Sociably Acceptable

In this day and age you don't have to have been in prison or fought in war to have a tattoo. Society has started to accept them, heck look there are two different shows on TV about it. Back in the day you were ridiculed for having one, look who's showing up on these shows to get ink ages 18 - 85. The people who are doing tattoo's are actual artist and our skin is there canvas!

Some people can go overboard i'm not into the whole side of the neck thing. Like i said I have a few big tattoo's i can wear t-shirt and shorts and you would never know i had a single one!

My guy IS an artist. You walk into his place, and it does not look like a tattoo parlor. No flash on the walls. It is literally an art gallery in front showcasing his artwork in various mediums. All new age type music playing...until you get in back. Then it's very clean with plants all over and Pink Floyd and the Grateful Dead. He draws up what you want exactly, and once done, he tears up the design and throws it away. He will not repeat a design unless you give him permission to do so. I love my tat guy!! :D

Tats ...

I have been tempted at times to get a tat. I made it
through the Navy during Nam (3 tours over) without
getting one. Believe me, several guys had them, some
were cool, some were crazy, and I was drunk enough
plenty of times to get one without even knowing it.

Although when I grew up, only guys in the military,
truckdrivers, and gang members had tats, and no
self respecting person would get one.

For some years now, and being single again, I have
thought about a Pool tat though, and have had a
few girlfriends with tats (just 1 or 2 small ones). I
didn't want anything too elaborate or big, just 1,
in a selected unseen spot unless you were my girlfriend ... lol

I don't want an 8 ball, I thought about a 9 ball, but I
don't know whether the yellow would look good after
a few years. Actually, I wanted something a little more
than just a 9 ball, but haven't really seen anything that
strikes me. I don't know, everytime when I have decided
to do it, I end up backing out .... lol

I can't believe I haven't heard from Fred A or Eric yet on this thread.

It isn't pool related. But here's my left leg.

Ok, so does anyone have any pool related tattoos?

I'm working on sleeving my lower leg. It's made up of things I have found by doing a lot of searching and thinking. Hope to have it done next year. Love pool & Ink!!

On my right forearm I have the word billiards tattooed in Japanese. Its on the inside of my forearm right under the bend for the elbow. I love it!!! I have a total of 4 tats. Put my first one on when I was 18. I also use to be pierced I had my tongue, lip, nose, both eyebrows, and my ears had 7 in each. And yes it really does say billiards.

In reply to the OP.

Here's a site to give you some ideas. Click here

I've seen a few semi unique ones. Seen a guy have a yin-yang symbol; Yin being a flaming 9-ball, Yang being a flaming 8-ball. It is/was on his calf.

A tatoo is something to be worn proudly till you die. Don't get one, "just to get one."
