What Max does as well or better than any other pool instructor is he articulates in a very precise manner, much like his pool game. If you watch his videos you will pick up some things just by listening to him.

He's got this one drill for determining if you are hitting the center of the cue ball by shooting up and down the middle of the pool table with center ball. I've seen many instructors attempt to instruct people on this drill but NOBODY describes what you should be doing as precisely as Max describes it. I picked up on a little tip from his instruction that is sure to help me with my game and to help my students.

Max has a website and you can just google him : MaxEberle and you will find his comprehensive set of videos as well as the free stuff he gives away. For you artists out there, max is an excellent painter and photographer as well as a professional pool player. Check him out.

His Powerful Pool videos are the best instructional videos I've ever watched.
 
I know Max is posting in this topic and I am not just trying to plug his videos. I had a recurring problem with my stance that had been going on for about three or four years. After watching the section on the stance (the first section of Powerful Pool IIRC) I was able to fix my problem completely. He went into tremendous detail about all the logistics involving the stance, and how they relate to your stroke, etc.


Getting down on the shot the same way every time really does wonders for your game. He included some nice points of reference in there in case you ever need to stop and make an adjustment on the fly. Great, great stuff.

I been hanging out with Max the last few days in Vegas, he is a great guy. We lived together for a long time a couple years ago, i missed him. he said it was a family reunion. Bobby cotton was there too. we were at Best Billiards(a great room) here in Vegas, sadly I have to go to LA later this week. Oh well, thats the cool part about pool and knowing lots of people you always run into friends.

Who do you like: Cotton plays Max even one hole, and Cotton plays left handed?
