Some of you already know I set up a group on youtube.com to collect the best of the videos available there for easy viewing. www.youtube.com/group/pool

But with over 100 pool, snooker, trick shot, carom etc videos it can be painstaking to find what you are looking for. Not to mention the unclear title names and lack of information about the videos.

So I've set up a new website www.cue-tv.com into which I am categorizing all these videos and the many more which I expect will be added soon into easy to find categories. The site has search function, RSS for all categories, better titling and video descriptions etc.

I hope you'll enjoy and visit often, and for the other video fanatics I hope you'll contribute with new videos and with comments on the videos so we can all learn more about the events and the players.

I've only put 11 videos on the site at this point, but plan to get another hundred or so up in the next week.

I would appreciate feedback at this stage regarding the design and functionality.

Cheers guys, I'm glad you like it.

The aim is to make it as easy as possible to browse and watch a load of good cue sport videos and to be able to quickly find your favorites.

I wouldn't be surprised if we have 1000 videos up within 6 months. Enough to keep the most restless of pool junkies satiated :D
 
A few years ago today I could only see pool that was on ESPN. Now I am overwelmed with pool matches on the internet.

The only "improvement" I would suggest is listing the size of the files.

I'm basically just using videos that are on youtube for now, as these can be embedded on the website so there is no need to leave the webpage to view the matches.

As youtube converts all the videos to .flv format (flash), the file sizes are basically in proportion to the video length which I provide. I think 1 minute is about 1mb (I'll have to check that out).

Anyway, if the videos download too slowly to watch smoothly, then try playing a few at a time and just hitting pause after they start. Come back to them in a couple of minutes and they should be ready to play.

Once downloaded, the vids can be replayed smoothly on your screen. The content loads up in your cache memory. It will be removed when you restart your computer or use a tool to clean cache.
