I agree with this, but...

Yes, my system involves rounding to make things not complicated at the table. I always round up as well. So a 35 degree angle would just default to 45 = 3 diamonds.

I do use through diamond not across.

If you want to be more accurate, don't cross the center pocket in your picture. Add a 7th rail across the middle of the table. In other words, the middle grid line in your picture. This brings the half table into a square shape, closer to a circle, than the rectangle.

Also using through diamond the vertex would be much deeper into the pocket.

And if you take it to the table, my system works, for me, as I explained it. Even though the math isn't perfect.

a ball going from the corner to the opposite side pocket
is going 4 diamonds
thats a 45 degree angle not 60
maybe i am wrong or misunderstanding you
You are correct, but my system for the cue ball leaving the rail off the object ball, an object ball that is close to the rail. so it can't actually leave from inside the corner anyways.

My system is a rounding system from SAMBA. I found it without knowing Samba though.

I like the "7th rail" upgrade.

thanks for the reply thresh....(y)

interesting way to view the table
and extrapolate the plus 2 to a 3 rail
although i would use the corner 5 to shoot the kick in the left square

nice presentation
unusual that 20 goes to the corner on a pool table for the corner 5
20 is usually the track on a 3 cushion billiard table

For the amount of English I use I target 30 to 35 to hit the corner pocket. Maybe that first video requires almost no English I'm guessing.

I haven't given it much effort yet to learn.

if you look at the diagram he is using running english
in my experience
i have to aim at around 15 giving 35 as the track to the corner on a diamond
and around 20 giving 30 as the track to the corner on a gold crown
jmho
