Just wanted everyone to know that the 1 year anniversary edition of PoolSynergy was published today. It should be a great read, as there are a total of 14 entries this month. I think everyone will enjoy, and get something out of it.

The originator of this Blog Carnival is the host this month, the PoolStudent, John Biddle. Hope everyone enjoys!

I just finished reading all those that I can get to from work (all wordpress links are blocked for some reason, blogspot isn't, but I can't comment because I can't see images from blogger.com - shrug).

Some great entries this month indeed. And I liked you're entry a lot as well Dag... I can't wait to see the skittles images from your OCD section. I bet we have a similar list of "quirks"... btw, socks and shoes should be immediately after pants, before the outer shirt - keeps the wrinkles from bending over away. ;)

Ahh...yes. The wrinkling...I try and turn the OCD off for that one. Or just wear no-wrinkle pants/shirts. (golf clothes are great for that!) Glad you liked the post. Read through all of them, and they were all great!

Going to go through and do some commenting later on, but your post was spot on. I'll expound further in the comment, as I don't want to spoil anything for the readers. ;) I really think there's something for everyone in this month's entry...no matter the skill level. Even if it's just re-enforcing an idea.

We'd appreciate your feedback

One of the best things about PoolSynergy, for us contributors, is receiving honest feedback from our pool playing peers (or our betters). We'd greatly appreciate it if after reading the posts, you'd take a moment and tell us what you think, about the particulars in a given post, or about the enterprise in general, or how we're going about it.

We're not trying to compete with AZB, we're all members, but a forum isn't conducive to the longer and theme based posts we're doing each month.

Anyway, thanks for all your support.

John Biddle

Congratulations to all of the PoolSynergy contributors for making the one-year mark! 14 contributors is fantastic, and kudos to all of the writers who have been dedicated to this project throughout the past year.

As much as I do news writing, it's really enjoyable to write in more of a creative blog style for PoolSynergy. It has also been great to be exposed to so many blogs that I didn't know existed! I had hoped to submit an article on NYC Grind this month, but time constrictions didn't allow me to. Keep up the great work guys, I'll be back! :)

What I like about Pool Synergy is that it really opens up another world of pool writing. It shows me that there are a lot of passionate people out there writing about pool and doing their part to keep pool alive. I am not much of a "blogger" but Pool Synergy has opened my eyes to what being a blogger means. And that's sharing in ways that are more permanent than the fleeting conversations and confrontations which happen in a forum environment.

Some if the best writing on pool subject ever is found on AZB but good luck finding it. That's the nature of the beast on any forum. People share the good stuff but it's quickly buried under tons of other stuff.

With blogging you can happily spend hours traipsing through other people's thoughts and getting perspectives which are hard to get through a pool forum.

I think both mediums are complimentary of each other.

Congratulations John on a successful first year! I am sure that this will go on for many more and the resulting compedium of pool writing will be an even greater resource than it is now.
