Hey guys.. Need your input.. I have a Porper B and the feed screw is sluggish at slow speeds. With the motor disconnected, the feed screw seems to turn easily.. When turning the motor by using my fingers, it feels like it has flat spots during rotation.. The guy at the motor shop said this is normal for a DC motor. I said what the heck and bought a new motor... It seems to run smoother but the motor still doesn't start turning until the switch is turned to about 1/3 of the way on.. I even replaced the circuit board but had to use existing horsepower resistor... I have a new one coming in next week..

So my question is: If you own a Porper B, will you see how much you have to rotate your feed screw switch before the feed screw starts turning....

i have to turn mine to the first big line (5) before i hear the motor energize, and close to the second big line (10) before i see the slightest of movement.

Circuit board. Top one for spindle. Bottom one for feed screw. Adjust the min. If it's sluggish after that, check the pully to make sure it's not rubbing against the body. If still happening, try adjusting the torque then the comp last.
There are 4 adjustable controls on each board.
Min, torque, comp and max.

Thanks Mike... I replaced the board (&belt) and it seems to run smoother but still have to turn the knob up at least 1/3 of the way before motor starts... With belt off, the feed screw turns rather freely.... I did not even look at the board for adjustments... But I will.... Thanks..
