Porper linen press

From where did you get the delrin wheels? Do you like how it works? Are there bearings in those wheels? Did you snug up the bolts only so far so the wheels could turn? Thx in advance.
If you have a lathe, they would be dead simple to make. Bore the ID for some bearings and Bob's your uncle.

I ordered the wheels (ebay or amazon) I couldn't find wheels wide enough in the diameter I wanted, so I faced off one side to remove the rounded edge and put two together to make a wider wheel. They have bearings so they are bolted on tight. Working good so far. Porper's linen press looks like the best, but I don't order from Ali or temu.

I’m thinking of ordering a linen press from the Ali Express website Has anyone ever bought a linen press from there and if so how long did it take to arrive ? I had a Porper Pro linen press years ago and can’t seem to purchase one in the US . the one from Ali looks very similar Thank you for any feedback

I ended up making my own linen press using cam follower track runner bearings. I got some nice maple to make the handles, but, for the first attempt at making this tool, I used pine as you can see in the pics. The holes and half-moon in the one handle was my first attempt with some other bearings that did not work well. I also made a linen spool holder, with the rod being a length of cue shaft cut to size.

Looks good Dog I can’t seem to find a Porper presser anywhere I guess thier not made anymore but Ali Express and Woods Cues have something very similar to the Porper I had one in the past and got very used to using it Im probably going to take a chance and order one from one of those sites that I mentioned My only concern is the shipping time it will take to get to PA Once I get it I will post details on how long the wait was and how it works Thank you
