porter cable router mount for rings

Honestly guys I wouldn’t bother buying one if you don’t plan on using a second carriage. Even with the locating dowels in the bottom you still have to align it. Once you are cutting rings with no burn you are not going to want to take it off. For the cost, get the second carriage from Chris and be done with it.

The height difference on the spring loaded carriage is 1.0”. My block is .825” thick using the 2.25” height. If you try and mount the router on a spring loaded carriage you are too high to cut on center even sitting directly on the carriage. That is why I went with the second carriage.

I didn't know you all would change it, since the other one was the wrong size I went on and made my own. Thank for all the info on it, it works real nice.

Thanks for sharing this. I started to post the height issues a while back, but decided someone might feel I was knocking their sale.

Since this pot has been stirred and I deal with machining houses on a daily basis, I am willing to jump back into the fire and get a batch of these made. Same price as offered. $80 and $10 shipping conus. Not sure on Canada or elsewhere but if you are willing to pay the difference I will consider it.

Please be perfectly clear the centerline height is 2.25” from the bottom of the mount. If something else is needed I may be able to accommodate. I will need to know ASAP since I just ordered 10 of these at the 2.25 height.

I don’t build a lot of cues. With the second carriage already set up it is nice to be able to pop it on, cut a few rings, and take it off.

DanO......... I am definitely in for one. Just let me know when/where to make payment.
