Position From The Break - Foul?

The attached picture shows the position of the cue ball after the break.

I assume this would be "ball in hand" for the incoming player?

This actually happened on one of my 9-ball breaks!

If I broke and that happened, I'd try to play it off and just act like I was gonna shoot from there. :D

You never know, your opponent just might let you shoot it..

On a side note, you need to practice not going "down" through the CB on the break. You should be extending towards the rack. I have observed that most people who get airborn during the break to any large degree are losing a lot of power on their break.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that it is only fowl if it touches the "wood" par of the rail and so maybe this is not fool afterall?
 
Ball has to be on the bed of the table. That cue ball is considered off the playing surface....SPF=randyg
