Piloted Steel 5/16 14 joint, to Ivory?
Possible to change Joint from Metal to Ivory???

Not a problem except for the weight difference in the two materials. Some cuemakers sleeve the Ivory over thin steel. I guess it all depends on the reason for the change.

Do it all the time but I also change the pin to 3/8 x 10 brass as to keep the weight about the same. You will also have to remove the brass inserts in the shafts and plug and tap for 3/8 x 10.
You can do piloted and keep the same pin but the balance will change.
