Hey Mike
Whats up with the map on the wall? Any special purpose?

In a pool room once I saw a big world map on the wall. Locals that went
elsewhere(usually far away places) would take pictures of themselves playing pool there and put the pictures next to the map. Then with a pushpin they would use string to connect the picture with the location.
I thought it was pretty cool. Some of the locals had played pool in
some really exotic locales.

As a matter of fact...

That map is full of pushpins. They are in places I've either gambled or played in a tournament over the last 10 years. There are 45 pins in 24 states and two provinces. They are about equally divided east and west of the Mississippi.

The rails are rosewood dymondwood. I belive the side skirts are oak with a cherry stain. I got a heckuva deal on the table from a bowling alley/pool hall in Atlanta. Table and light for $2500 bucks.

Here is a closer pic.

That rosewood dymondwood looks great. That price is great too.
What a find!

I saw that exact table from the bowling alley your speaking of. A friend was looking into it. My buddy and I looked at it to inspect it to see if it was in good shape. Besides where they cut the good Simonis off it was in great shape. It use to belong to Starzone or something like that. That is why he had all the lights.

Did you see the other poor Diamonds in their so-called "Pool Hall"? What a shame. I played there one day and the tables are 4ft apart at some points. The tables are nowhere near level. They have slow crappy beer stained cloth. And it's $10 an hour when you can go 2 exits down to Cues2.
