practice break rack question

the break rack practice thing that joe tuckers recommends, i have a question about it. wont the fact that the entire rack "gives" backward change the cueball movement. in other words, you may think you are stopping the cb center table, but with a real rack it may have shot further back? or does it somehow account for this?

It's built to compensate, IMO. I have seen dramatic improvement in my break. Well worth the time and investment. It's amazing how inaccurately we actually strike the cue ball, and don't know it.

IMHO, it doesn't matter if there's a bit of a difference because as it trains you to break with more and more control, your ability to adjust to the difference will also improve.

In other words, the important thing is that it trains you to strike the cue ball where you want to, with power, and that will carry over to a real rack of balls. JMHO

It is about the same weight as a rack of 9 ball. The front ball is well afixed and the back ball has a little give make sure you use the yellow ball up front.

Line the rack up and shoot with a break stroke. You can practice your break fast and it is comparable to a regular break. Work on the break until the cue ball is poping back and squatting right in the middle of the table.

Nice tool you should have in your practice equipment
