For Christmas I got an elephant training cue ball. i shoot with aramith premier set.

The aramith cue ball weighs 5.9
The elephant trainer weighs 6.0

How much of a difference will this make if any?

Thanks.

Nothing that you'll notice... Bigger concern would be the diameter

I don't think it makes ANY difference in breaking or play. That is not the purpose. I own an Elephant training ball set (and several others I have picked up through the years). The trainers I own have different purposes. Most have markings to teach aiming. Rempe training balls teach the effect of, and tip placement for, placing english/spin on the ball. Also, some really grab chalk, which lets you see how well you hit the spot you are aiming at. The elephant set I have falls in this category. If your elephant set is like mine with one ball being 1/2 white and 1/2 red, that ball is fun to use as a cue ball while playing as well.

Zero difference because of the weight. The elasticity may vary.

Get a steel plate and at the same time sided by side drop both CB’s from about 5’ or 1.5M and see if they bounce to the same height. If they do-then they will play the same. If one bounces higher than the other-they will react differently when they collide with other balls.

A couple grams in weight difference is negligible

Simple as that
