"I can't beat your slow game." Is a favorite quote. It came after I won 13 games on the fly, with 45 minutes left till bar close. At $10 a game, I was down $80 with $110 to start. Next payday was over a week away. It was a gut check. Intestinal Fortitude is what Coach McHargue would call it.
Last night at leagues (I have been told) there was a comment regarding me playing slow. I got a giggle. I recall the Pros complained of Dan Louie playing slow. The real complaint was, he played so slow and Never Missed.
My Slow Game is in the realm of seconds that seems like hours to my opponent sitting.
Anyway The Lay O the Day. The balance of the cue takes a few seconds longer but is worth the effort. Fine

At the beginners table I would suggest static layout that's as simple as possible. Learn to crawl then walk then run before attempting the crossing of free way.
