Practice practice practice

Okay Lefty has posted an 8. Dry break and 1 miss. A new event record. Now Right gets the standard 3 ball chance to equal or exceed for a quarter. Game on.😁

Well this is fun just like it sits. Pick of cue ball. As an aside the Right only produced a 10 and doesn't want to talk about. The one point assessment of foul, when the 2 ball wiggled didn't matter.🤷

Lefty open with a 12, making the need to move the quarter around the table on each shot. Winner takes the quarter.🤷
Right respond with 8 and feeling puffed up.
I can stay amused for a full session. Forced completion is required even when the number of strokes is really large. Hazing might be similar.🤷

The morning Challenge
One rail kick to the back side of the blue. Keeping the aim point in the shade and body in the warm sun. Then 2 rail kick from shade corner to the black. The 5 rail kick to the back of the 8 starts along the shade line and hits the side rail very near the side.

The 3x3 I name thee: I have to guess it is advanced .🤷 So don't try this at home. 🤷
The opening shot is therapy. Jacked or treetop Ed and one handed. Added the rail first required with bonus points at 1 per rail. Lefty reaching power limit at 1 rail. BUTT getting stronger all the time.
Edit: Reverse the cueball pad is the morning flavor. With at least one rail for the opening one handed.

Stephen Hendry plays a frame against himself, is the title of his latest contribution. Amazing that is how I make my morning workout enjoyable and challenging. My addition of Left vs Right would be ...... well a good variation that could only lead to the reverse hand shooting like Efren and Ronnie. Pretty good company. The rails first is a fun exploration of all variables available, and I am finding it educational. My first reason for choosing this hobby was, I can always learn at it.🤷

Fingers are still cold.
The sportsman ship is easy to practice when playing self. Rules establish/modificate is sometimes relegated to a coin flip. Always open to negotiate.
It does however provide practice.
Evolution has me leaving the final scoring stroke at each pad. With a minimum of a 4 point shot to close the pad. Those 2 balls must remain undisturbed, otherwise foul.
The final scoring shot from yesterday shows what I called an 18 point shot.
Upon further review it is only 16
3 for in the hole
Plus 6 for two kisses a point each for the whites over the pad and 5 more for the rails. 🤷
The second cue ball went 5 rails and gently touched with the other two frozen balls undisturbed, well just wiggle and fall back together with second cue ball kissing as well. Had to consult with the rules committee as. The balls were disturbed but unmoved.

4-1-23 Happy Day: Guess I will just fool around.🤷
The Clean and Jerk; I learned as a high school sophomore. Anyway doing it using the cue is my Senior Citizen (OCS Old C Sucker) weight lifting. 10-10-10 seems to be my preferred sets and reps.
With the sun moving northward I have a little more time for stretch and flex before the sun through the door gives me half of the table.
The 3x3 challenge is flexible and in turn educational. Ok so it's really 3x3x4. With 3 cue balls and 3 object balls with 4 Puppy Pads. Since one pad is King with a hole dead center it's full name will be 3x3x(3+1). 😉 Ah gotta love geometry.

April 2, 2023:
The Old Fool is my favorite form. Well now 🤷
The 3x is an appropriate opener for the day. Giving me a chance to dance. No really. Everything is going well with me. The rehab is working.

Ships Log: Sunday is chalk day.
However the 3x challenge is by definition no chalk. As such the race can be just leader at time expiration.
Precision strike to cueball Rules!!

Treble hits.......hmmmm Lefty has the record for one handed treble hits to the cueball. With one being undetectable but 3 dots to the cue ball more than 1/2 inch apart. Those are the shots closest to perfection.

Finding:
Myself?
The Angle
The Speed
The Coordination
The flavor of the day is the Delta formation.

Kicking off the back rail one handed is the first set. Go to 10 and require a 5 point shot to close the category and leave the photo opp on display. With the next cueball a bridge is allowed and 2 rail minimum.... Should give me a good workout.😁
Oh yeah, Right opening with a 5 point shot. What fun.

Well that's a good morning workout. The wind gusts have me taking security time outs to inspect the grounds. No work with sheets of anything today.
So about an hour and Right closed a dominated session with a two rail kick to the back of the black for a 9 point shot.
Of course the wind gusts provides reason to stay inside and just keep exploring all the paths around the table. Surely another challenge will arise. Will need to stress the sensitive side as Lefty is smarting from the huge defeat.😉

Tue Apr 4, 2023:
Cold finger time again. Big weather had trace of sleet yesterday. Operating a new device, new Samsung phone to keep up with Visible network requirements. Kind of like switching cues. I recall Cole's remark. A while after I had purchased My Joss (with Cole's name and date under the wrap) cue from Cole, he said, "I wouldn't be able to shoot with that cue now." His remark made me realize the degree of precision he played to was, well..."that fine tuned".
The one handed opener is giving me ample time for the stretch and flex. With a full squat and knuckles to the floor then clean and Jerk. No wonder my daughter after seeing the movie The Jerk said, "Dad, that's you!"

The rising sun has me opening the door for the warmth. The sun on the table prompted me to move the cueball platform to the shade and find a two rail shot. Kind of fun. Showing how the slightest different rotation of the cueball leads to a huge difference coming off the second rail. Staying within what a chalk free tip allows is an eye opener. ☆ cannot find the emoticons on this phone. Oh well^_^

The grip and the Brama bull:
I like to carry my cue balanced on the index finger. Using it as a Devin ingredient I mean devining rod.(setting the stance) Then I thinking very similar to the bull rider and the importance of the grip. Especially when trying to rescue the Baby Bird. So the index and thumb must be secure but soft. The proper execution as taught by Barry Stark can impart incredible power from the fingers coordinated closure. Unfurling is what he calls it. On the back draw, the rear three open to allow the cue frictionless passage. With the Ring finger in charge of the forward after the pause. Where I confirm that I Know what I want to do.
Edit: I have a visual of the time and attention the riders devote to getting the grip just right.

Racing the morning sun has the roaming launch pad feature. Just put it in the shade and imagine a rail first shot or two or.... .gives me the workout one way or 3?

The bullrider is what I do with my hand as I am surveying and form setting. Just making small balance adjustments just as the bullrider needs the optimum grip. I want the balance so perfect that I could launch my cue tip through the eye of the needle. That kind of precision will get you nicked as The Surgeon... was that Lassiter?
