Practice practice practice

Right closes station 2 with a 5 point shot and ties the score at.....16 All. Now to find a 3 railer to the King ball on the 5 point hole.

Whew, :swipebrow: With the sun to the back required couldn't find 3 rails. So after a wayward single rail fluke to the corner by Lefty lead to the "kick it in for all the money." Right accepted and went down to the dreaded kick 'em in the side. Never play Lefty, His game. Grrrrr

Ah the Boring game. My boring game got me played. Heck I was allowed in B tournaments.
Railbird said:
Heck that guy isn't that good. I have yet to see him make a hard shot.
Oh wait I wasn't thinking of That boring I was thinking of the hole I need to drill through the white. 🤷‍♂️
So my practice thought is.....variation from that precision hole through the white could have catass trophic results. Similar to putting the pecker in the pickle slicer, uh er log barker.

The Delta O the day:

Truer to the B-52 Delta training. 9 of us flying as a flock of geese at 350 knots at 800 feet off the deck over the Grand Canyon. Low and fast enough to get ground turbulence.

Just because it's physical therapy doesn't preclude collateral knowledge and er training.
Rail first practice was what elevated my game to a Place in The Big Show.
My Delta formation is a power tool. Not the ultimate slicer dicer, just a power tool. You know like a chain saw or jack hammer. It won't cure all but it's a good way to start the day.
That was one week of it. So my Challenge is do it for a week. Just allotting a time slot at first then start going by points. I am surprised by the complete course speeds I am now able to achieve.

Strategy training: Baseball needs a lead off hiter that can get a single. So the line is first. The morning fitness requires the catchers squat to line it up. One rep at a time, it's still 10 reps ...right? Then of course the one lap of the table to restore the balls and hand the cue over.

Oh Hell No. It's not a walk....it's a Dance. I prefer The Falcon form. Spreading the wings is what my therapist calls it. 🤷‍♂️

Using uh suspected scoring Lefty surges to a 9-4 lead. On the Hill now. Well actually it was singles then Doubles to get on the hill is the headline. Right closes the first station with a 3 followed with a 5 and surges to a 12-9 lead. Oh what fun. Now to find the 2 railer.

Wow quick work on station 2. Lefty ties the score at 15 with a 6, then Right lays in a 7 point shot 22-15
Now where's a 3 railer that keeps the sun behind me. Just like the fighter pilot.

YEAH! Oh that felt good. The lay of the balls, head spot and foot spot leads to a rule negotiation. Having tried and failed miserably on 3 rail kicks so Lefty proposed a one rail kick off the back rail for all the money. After 3 attempts @ he nails it. Was just remember the $3 ring game where I was dead hooked 7 times in a row. Didn't even know the guy I followed but wow. I was kicking the balls good and getting near missed or make and be hooked again. So I wasn't quite Effren but it kept me in the game. I was down 40 something before I got a shot. I got out and ran 2 and was still stuck in the game. Shrug 🤷‍♂️.
And that's a morning workout.

The Lineup I adopted a variation of the one Stephen Hendry says was his favorite drill, is my afternoon challenge.

Fun O the day: Jacked up one handed or perhaps treetopped is less likely to be miss understand . :wink 😉
Competition is the class I run In. Playing left vs right gives me the Competition practice. Two players practicing together can push each other.
Finding the line is first so the deep squat is required. Not my favorite early morning exercise. Butt it's required. :P
Once the line is chosen then the dance practice. Assuming the stance is more fun as a dance. A slow dance.....even slower as I age.
Then the cradled cue is allowed to be used as a tool. An alignment and distance measure. All shots start from the Address position. The balanced cue sets distance on the line I just chose in the squat. Starting square Address is as Basic as it gets. Through practice I hone in the exact location of the stance.
Self says, "but but I know the line already". Self replies, "quit whinning and do it!" The best solution I have that turns whinning into winning. Not as fast as the auto correct. Shrug 🤷‍♂️ Squat Wad Do Jazz was a term for a Basic Cadet. So do your squats. Grampa knows Squat is also appropriate. 😉

The physical therapy is side effect. The purpose of the squat is to get the contact point on the white. Along the line of Stephen Hendry says to find the contact point on the object ball first and we'll a little fuzzy next as to the process. So OK
In the 🎄 practice with no chalk, the tip path cannot vary much from a center strike. Seems a good place to start. Right? I mean how could I expect to control the massive power I can deliver if I have no fineness. Finding the fine precision strike is a good place to start.
Lefty closed the tree 🎄 at 14-11. The plethora of 2 and 3 point shots took the score beyond the 9 minimum in this league, with the 4 point shot required.

Right closed station 2 with a bridge at 26-19 with a 6 point 2 rail kick. After a brief protest we continued the station with a deep squat required. Will respect the method and continue the same 😉

Since it's Fun day, the final challenge thrown down by Self is The Cocked Hat + 4 rail kick from head spot to foot spot.
Oh Man! Just when I was ready to call it impossible.....I came Oh so close. Gotta keep trying. Pool gawds might need their help. .....but I have Faith.

Lefty finds it! A 12 point shot.
4 rail
15 in the 5 hole
Kissing for +3
The cue shows the line and the flavoring required is opposite of running.

A good ending to a Fun workout.

Thought O the Day: You don't Know Squat. Well I know it but Thought I was old enough to ignore it. Nope! The catcher training at 8 taught me squat and the importance of doing it right. Upper leg parallel to ground is catcher form. Gives the quickest most powerful responses.
Discipline......well marching 40 hours with my M-1 was Discipline I received along with 4 months restrictions. I got caught skipping a lecture that half the squadron skipped. :shrug 🤷‍♂️
Squating down to sight the shot is now a requirement on all shots in The Delta Formation Challenge. Write it off to Formwork and charge it to The Frog. Another nickname I earned. 😉
5 rails to the back of the black on the cue stick line. Leaving the black on the paper yields a 7 point game winner by Lefty. "I didn't know Lefty was that strong. " Is very similar to a compliment I received at the handshake. Well Lefty probably had a tail wind. 😉
