Practice practice practice

Luther Lassiter being called The Surgeon indicate critical or even life critical success. Precision application a his scalpel uuuh cue.

Study of the champion s in the Matchroom video indicated the grip employed by most is as Barry teaches.
The Grip part 1
The Grip part 2
The Grip part 3-the important element. Notice that the important element is not revealed until part 3. Only for serious players 😉. I will humbly insert my thoughts of the stroke being along the lines of cracking the whip. The power comes with the fingers not the shoulder or even the wrist.
The Grip part 4
"You will not learn it overnight."
The finger s providing the final touch to the robotic foundation through delivery system. The icing on the cake.

Ok story time:
The four most incredible shots I have seen
Efren
Cole
Massey
Efren
Not in order. Efren's we're back to back. Sands Reno; First shot after the break, he took the cue ball around the table and into the jaws of the corner pocket. Oh yes behind 3 balls that formed the perfect wall. Clipped the one closest to the foot rail so it closed the door behind the cue ball. No way out and poop a ball dropped. Efren jumped the cue ball off the point to strike the object ball and rolled safe, hooked.
Mike Massey at the Ceasar Tahoe tournament in 84, executed a jump shot now in one of the Byrne books. Made a head string to foot string jump. One degree off of straight. With 5 and 7 forming a 3/4 ball blockade at the side pocket. Mike made the shot and drew the cue ball to perfect shape on the 2 frozen mid head rail. Pretty sure he went out.
Cole in a $1000 one pocket game jumping the cue ball to let the object ball pass under for the straight back.
My jump the cue ball onto the rail and cut the 7 in getting honorable mention.😉

I'm gonna knock a hole in that cue ball. Just like the drill press. A drill press can get dangerous real quick. So directing the path through the cue ball is job one.
My doubles challenge has present ed a few interesting problems. The first being my shot 2 having cue ball at 1-1 and object ball at 6-3. Just off straight. The scratch eluded me first make scratch was a fluke by the right. Follow it in. First legit was by the left with follow to scratch in 1-4.
New record for margin of victory went to the right at a phenomenal 22-1. Just after watching the young Champions. The next day the left prevailing by a large margin.

Ok my fingers are still cold.
Story time:
I was feeling pretty good about my left hand and made the mistake of bragging on it to Cole.
We had closed the place in uh maybe Lynnwood. We're probably having a toke. Anyway, Cole asked, "How good Do you play left hand ed?" Well I put on my game face, looked him in the eye and replied, "As good as You!" He smiled the wry smile and asked, "how much money you got on you?" I replied, "$250". He says, "you know I could get them to let us back in." As he looking into my poker face. Whew, we never went back in.

Left just prevailing 12-7. It has prevailed by similar margin every morning since the 22-1. Must be butt hurt? 😉

Flavor of the day:
Moved over half a grid point to slight change, mostly the visual. Spread non interference balls also. My straight pool break speak to the distraction I let into my shot.Uh at times....😉

The day of the double:
Barry gets the double fluke. Can't remember the Hendry comment but it deserved two hand waves.
Then Zhao dies by the sword attempting the double to the middle
He got seasoning and Barry moves on.
Should be another big one in about 3 hours. Ronnie vs Judd.
The Hendry commentary is Dr. Level class.
So the third double is. Observe by watching and hear by listening.?🤷

Another great lesson this morning. John Higgins is the easiest for me to track his eye movement. He telegraphs with his brows. Makes observation of the pattern simple.

Power of the plain ball:
In this morning lesson Stephen Hendry comments on Yahn playing plain ball is a strength. Then in later shots proceeded to recommend off center strikes. My position is, plain ball is the foundation with the spin being uh the gingerbread trim.
So much on exhibition this morning and terrific entertainment along with the education. Can only hope for the same kind of show this afternoon between Judd and Ronnie. [Edit] Oops Neal Robertson, Ronnie already got by Judd. Expect a similar show.

Ships log:
Cold fingers so challenge of the day! One handed with warm coffee cup in the other. Shoot until those fingers get cold. Then switch. Three years since the left side took the hit from the left turn car. OMG it is pretty lopsided but the left is coming round fast.
Helps me solidify the foundation. Ronnie Allen was known for his one handed game.

Good class on Matchroom now. Think it must be my uh favorite, John Higgins. You kids be quiet 😉

The power of the plain ball:
My method agree. I made money at times because my donator was unimpressed with my simple game. They would have the ability to impart spin to the cue ball in excess of my ability. The money bought groceries at 2:15 in the morning.😉
My plain ball practice is one handed no chalk. As of today that is.😉
Brings me back to the center.

Light bulb 💡!!!
Just found that one handed no chalk should be executed standing on the one foot on shooting side. Kinda like The Karate Kid standing on the piles.
Oh what fun! I will always enjoy learning.

This reminds me of when I learned to shot an aspirin tablet with a bb gun. It's simple, barrel point aim works. After maybe 2 attempt I hit it and felt confident I could do it again.
That is throw the tablet up and shoot it like Annie Oakley.

No pain, no gain:
After all the time watching the snooker Champions, I figured it was time to work with the camera again. I have neglected that tool.
OMG, I have a lot to digest and uh adjust.😉
Now I remember why I avoid mirror s. 🤷
