Friday 1.5.24. Swing shift: Late workout as I got to play cab driver again. 1978 was the year I drove cab for 3 months through the summer uh in Reno. Met my wife Jackie there. Hm. ☺

Keep it simple with the stick and Balls Pic . The crotch shot is the place to start for beginners. Gives maximize access to the center of the white. Why would I aim anywhere else. 🤷‍♂️ Well center axis at least.
That went well so neck and neck going 2 rails to the orange stripe 13. My method has me starting exactly the same as the previous one handed target. Once it's aimed and the platform set....I get the bonus of a bridge.

That took a while and good workout . Now 3 or more rails to the 15 king ball. Think I will try one with special sauce. 3 rails out of the corner.

The third target with chin on the cue and no interference from another cue ball, is like ice cream or desert.
With the line being limited by the corner pocket it becomes a study in spin and speed. Good fun and a challenge and game build as well. 🤷‍♂️ Almost forgot the physical therapy. Getting the full range of movement builds the game from the ground up. Deep squat to aim at table level is required......every shot.

Maybe it's the.time I jumped up to grab the bullies ears and tuck my face to his chest.

Anyone that can pass this step in the challenge will definitely know where they are looking when they strike the ball. They will also be sure of what works best for them. Setting the foundation and body structure is the skill I try to develop or maintain with this target. Where I look when striking the ball seems obvious. All about building habits from the ground up. When I lock in target 1, it all goes to target 2 with a bonus bridge. Gotta earn it though. 10 points to close target 1.
 
Target 2 choice for today is not a beginner shot. Definitely not a beginner shot, says Rainman. 😉

Got a bridge but still jacked up. Absolute precision to the strike and velocity are required to close this target. Ready set go.
 
Oh yeah, finally starting to get a feeling for the softer tip. Right scores first with a 5 added to the 10-0 lead that Right left target 1 with.
I went back to a triangle tip from my beloved water buffalo. I just wasn't able to move my cueball around as well as I wanted. Hope I don't find out it was Me and not the hard tip. 🤷‍♂️ 😉
 
Wow! Lefty just replies with a 6. Thought Right was sneeking extra shots when "We"were distracted. Shoots pretty good when he's pissed, could be my Indian name. 🤷‍♂️
The distraction is part of the training. So I call my practice time posting, as an exercise. Yeah that's my story.
 
Oh boy it's cold.
My goal is to use gravity to my advantage. The more solid the stance the less energy or mental resources required. Can devote all attention to the precision of the strike precise in speed as well as accuracy.
I doesn't come naturally to me. But through work and devotion.. ...I can play a little.)( As long as I can maintain my balance.)
Confidence, well confident that I am playing , "to the best of my ability " gets my best game.
 
So cold that when Lefty ties the score with a 6, we agree to go to target 3. Should be a simple little 3 railer available. 14 all .
 
My prayers were answered and Right hits an 8 right out of the gate. My cold toes say, Winner! No objections. Cover the table and go get some hot coco.
 
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Well if you like cold windy and rain/snow mix. Might have to, uh, oh wait It's Sunday. The day of rest, so be it.
Going to take some discipline to stay out of trouble though. How does it go? "An idle mind and hands is the Devil's playground."
But But But the internet! Somebody needs to tell them that they are wrong! .....Can't help but remember John Wayne and "the hell I won't!"

My anger management coach says, "get your mind on to something constructive. " Okay let's see? I need to get my mind right. Cool Hand Luke is an old and gold favorite so off I go to watch it again.
