Practice what I Preach

Ah..
The Thrill of Victory
 and
The Agony of Defeat

Was the Wide World of Sports intro, back in the '60s.
I minimize the extreme of the agony by minimizing the extreme joy of victory.
Kinda making it less important than...uh just doing my best.
Never Give Up is my favorite t-shirt. It's illustration is the Frog in the beak of the stork with hands around the neck of the stork. 🤷‍♂️ It ain't over until he swallow.
One of my favorite come back stories was watching Dan Louie in the first of the double elimination finals and his opponent uh hit a grandstand shot on his game, set and match shot leading 6-0 going to 7. The nine was just a gew degrees off of straight, so he knocked the back off the pocket. Giving whitey just enough to drift and Drip into a pocket. Dan won the title......again 😉 🤷‍♂️
Be sure I studied at every opportunity when Dan was playing.

I had a flashback of that 1 missed shot that cost the player as I approached the match winning 8 ball playing a Grand Master.
My self to self uh called "time out". I got up off the straight in basic shot to taste my beer and apologized for the delay. My words were the same as Danny's to me after missing a simple match shot playing Earl the Pearl. 🤷‍♂️ "uh, I Just Got Nervous. " It can happen but it can be dealt with as well. I made mine using the.strong foundation and mechanics when my mind/body communications were uh getting garbled. 🤷‍♂️ 😉
It can happen. DMIT IT er uh admit it. Start over and make it.
I watched Cole decintigrate to the alcohol. His foundation and set had the ball being made if he were to pass out and leave it to gravity.

The Snooker battle between Kyren Wilson and The Thunder from Down Under was epic!
The video evidence that I have seen indicates that Kyren has modified his eye patern.
Well it looks like. 🤷‍♂️
The coverage of the event makes my subscription to the monthly a no Brainerd.
wst.tv
provides good looks at all aspects of the play. (Even full screen of the fly on the pack of reds.) High definition video and World Championship commentary.
And oh the race to 6 with Kyren missing the simple black at 4-1 going to 6. So instead of 5-1.....Neal found himself and led 5-4. What a lesson for Kyren....sitting and reviewing why he missed the black. Well he figured it out but the battle was epic With a hill/hill finish.
More to come tomorrow.
Be there or be square. 😉
