Practice what I Preach

Ah good morning. League day. APA , I shudder to say. 😉
Shot 1
Day 1
Is te most important shot. Shot choice depends. What condition? Fight or Flight.? "The taste of blood excites me!" Is a favorite quote.
Here comes the sun.
It's alright.

The fitness program starts with The Chase. Using a drill from Dr Dave. Colin's drill, I think. Headscratch.
For me a perfectly suitable way to examine and Ass Says with the inner dialog. 🤷‍♂️
Step 1
Get my mind right.

Gotta love geometry
Points
Lines
Angles
Then speed and spin variables.
Start with addition.
Center ball, perfect for a warmer uper.

The Left vs Right is a very good way to sort out the self to self communication. The teaching of the weaker hand strengthen both. 🤷‍♂️
"Try it, you'll like it" is a favorite memory. I said it in the sales pitch before launching the barrel she entered. OMG!!!!@@ I thought I had seriously injured her. The barrel went so fast and bounced so high off of big rocks, that dented the drum. Eek! After the sprint to the resting barrel and my hesitant enquiring, "are you alright?" Her reply, "You're Right! THIS IS FUN"

Ah 6 am and the tequila sun rise.

Oh wow the tequila did me a couple times.
The picture doesn't quite get the brilliance of the red in the sun. 🤷‍♂️ A good way to start the day.
The Cold Start is the strength I seek to excel at.
My experience as a short track $5 pool tournament expert proofed the theory. My uh off the cuff estimate of first impressions value was 🧕 huge.
Little League baseball coaching taught me to be a lead off hitter. I learned to love the anticipation of the first pitch. Standing in the box after my Ichiro like routine with the final aim down the bat being the pitchers head. I was the first to know, "what he's got". Always with the green light and stride tied to his release and reading his fingers last input to the ball. 🤷‍♂️
Now my fingers last input to the cue comes to mind. 🤔 like an artist with the paint brush. Some strokes are bold and assertive. While the more delicate is subtle and often undected.
First impression can get more chances as the opponents stroke tightening can lead to a miss. Of course on occasion my opponent has the sand to run one back at me! Oh what fun.

Sunday morning : ? The morning after Ass Says Mint is important.
Analysis of the missed shots , well honest and unbiased examination is of Great Value. (Should have bolded 2)😉
One way to improve 🤷‍♂️
Okay the table had, uh character (well the tavern had character too)😉
I did have a couple or few that I thought and felt good went a rye. 🤷‍♂️
The upside is my Opponent had his Victory moment. Completed with fist pump! My snide thought was, "real happy for you" spoken with sincerely. Followed with, "Real FUCKING Happy, " for you with a smile and wink. He played well, I slipped and fell shrug 🤷‍♂️.

My not so secret recipe 😉. Inspiration.
Plus Perspiration. Practice properly Practice Practice.

I enjoy looking to the I Ching for a thought for the day. This morning cast got this thought.
I Ching said:
Have no doubts.
Seek guidance from someone you respect.
A constant move toward greater clarity will bring reward.
🤔
Off I go to The Chase, my favored way to start the day.

Edgar Cayce is some one that I respect. His readings can be enlightening and or uh? frightening .
Be Careful what you ask.
My favorite ask from an impudent college student comes to mind.
At the Down Under pool room in Chico CA.
Friday night with a visit from Barry Emerson.
The youngster wanted to know how much money I had in my pocket. He was strutting and talking loud. I explained that, if I take it out and show it....We are going to play for it. Right ??
His yes produced $185. Late in the evening obviously 😉 He had to hawk his cue with the bartender to cover. (Oh yeah it wasn't the down under it was the place by the highway)🤷‍♂️ Hope he got it back. 🤷‍♂️
The kicker is that he thought he had a hidden Ace. We determined the contest to be a race on the 9 footer in 9 ball. He put in a pinch hitter. The Cab Driver. Eek I drove cab and understood how good I played when that hungry. The Cabbie was familiar to me. He would indeed be a handful for me. My instant reply of, "Okay then I back Barry, Let's Go. The Cabbie won the first 4. Good thing we got a long enough race.

Is it a prayer
A mantra
A song
🤔 Keeping My Mind right brings some miraculous results. The practice keeps the body available. Well the diminished endurance and strength are facts. The improved Mind full is enlightening. Like light Ning
One for All the Money. The best I have heard of was Ronnie Allen at the scumbag Tacoma Whiteys place. A one handed spot shot and nothing hits a rail. A 9 footer of course. They literally filled the pockets with the wagered monie. "Beat this guy. He's a drug dealer." Comes to mind. It was whispered in my ear as she passed to the bar. I had hooked him up for $50 eight ball. I busted him between 500 and 1000. 🤷‍♂️ Oh yeah where was I? Yes Ronnie did it and busted the whole room. 🤷‍♂️ 😉

Build it from the ground up. One handed jacked means the cue touches nothing but the ball.
The instant personal challenge had the right hand miss. Followed by a Lefty make. But whitey touched.

Lefty gets the Heartbreakers trophy for close. The 8 ball dripped and white rebound 1 inch. Tough to get any softer. 🤔 A real challenge that should provide a full morning workout.

25 minutes for Lefty to get a hanger with no rails
20250716_073155.jpg

The hanging curve down to the nth degree. The fingers just like throwing a curve in baseball provided the precise strike to the cueball. Lefty declare winner but Right says not yet. Time on the clock yet. 🤷‍♂️

The path emulate the bowling ball in the 300 game. A much Smaller scale but the curveball is the only way I can do it on this equipment.

At the buzzer Right makes it! And touch the rail. Oh so close. Lefty declared winner of the day. Off we go into the wild blue yonder.
