practicing spot shots

so today i was at the table for quite a while and decided to practice my spot shots (ob on foot spot, cb behind headstring. well i did this for about 100minutes and noticed something interesting. i made the shot with higher percentage of the time when i closed my eyes when i stroked through the cb. found that slightly amusing :)
the other thing i noticed that when i finished this and resumed shooting in my normal way, i was splitting the pockets on most shots (not that there is much pocket to split on a snooker table using pool balls).

anyone practice this shot routinely?

Cool........................................
I like to get a tray of balls, set it in the middle of the table, take ball in hand, and shoot balls off the spot. Get shape on the next ball that you place on the spot. Spot a ball, pocket it, spot another...........and so on.

When pointing out all the things that we do and do not do when shooting with our eyes closed it almost makes a point for looking at the cueball instead of the object ball when shooting. Not that I am going to switch, I just think its interesting.
