I've had this laying around for some time. It was mounted before I bought it it seems but has had little use. There are scratches on the outside of the body, but really no wear marks anywhere else. The scratches could be from me moving it around and from original shipping I can't say for sure. It has 4 adjusting scews.

Here is the lowest price I found on the newest version and a piece from a thread where someone asks about Pratt, Bison, and Buck...

I'll trade you a ring cutter.

Prices of chucks sure have gone way up.
I remember when you can get a Set Tru 8" 6-jaw Bison for $600.

Randy it is a shame you are so far away.
That is a good bit of kit right there.
Back plates are not that hard to make , but yes take time to get them right.
Some of those chucks had the grit tru feature of minutely adjusting the radial run out.
My Grip tru although is a 3 jaw with 3 adjusting palls has bellville washers under the cap screw heads that hold the chuck to the backplate.
I like those early chucks, really well made and very repeatable with a high accuracy.
It's nice of you to off this to someone who may be able to use it.
Neil Wishing I was closer so not having to pay for the int'l freight.

HAH! How is the pristine Hardinge indexing? That thing sure was nice!

This chuck has 4 adjusting screws.
