Precision Potting manual - Free of Charge

I wonder if Azbilliards private messaging can attach pdf documents. I believe there isn't but I could be wrong.

If it is possible, then you can pm me here, and I attach the manual for you. That way, you need not reveal your email address to me, if that is a big deal to you.

Thanks for the offer. I can't believe how many are whining about giving out their email. Nothing to lose here by giving out your email. If you've ever used your email to purchase anything, it's out there for the taking anyway. It's FREE so quit yer bellyaching. :)

Precision Potting

Hello Ignatius,
Thanks for the precision potting I plan to use this the weekend. It looks very good.

Precise..................

Potting. I just received this and it looks pretty good. I've used BHE for some time now and this manual explains its use quite well. You really need to take the time and find your cues optimal bridge length. Aiming with spin is much easier with BHE compared to parallel shifting. Thanks Ignatius for making this available.

For those who have receive the Precision Potting manual, if you have any questions with regard to the content, please address your issue here. That way, others who have the manual will learn too - of the issue at hand and of the possible solutions.

It is altogether possible that there are some bugs with some areas that I proposed. We can all learn together as Precision Potting treads on the unknown.

Yes, Precision Potting is easily executable and do not need any gut feel. The only variable is getting the true aim line and able to aim along it accurately. I have started a thread on this, and a DIY method on learning to get your aim to be accurate. That should be one of the practice drill for Precision Potting. The link can be found here: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showpost.php?p=5912443&postcount=18

Best wishes and hope to hear from you guys.

PS: I only send out my manual once I have at least 5 requests.

pdf received

I requested and very promptly received the manual. II need to spend more time with it, but it appears to be a nice overview of BHE etc. Thank you.

If your manual is "free", why not post it up in pdf form so it can be downloaded?

Make it available so it can be utilized by all.

I did this with George Fels's 101 Tips to Improve Your Game" in my signature. Was suggested by another AZ member.

Well, George Fels's 101 Tips is not your work.

Precision Potting is my work, hence I would still like to have a little control, and also hopefully some of the readers would communicate with me with regard to Precision Potting.

Well, you'd still have that communication with a download link with your email available. Why do you feel the need for "control", that is, someone's email address??

In the first place, I have not thought of the link possibility. Someone mentioned it earlier and I gave some thought to it.

However, I realized that I do not have any control such as:

1. How many people have requested and obtained the manual? If the number is low, maybe I should promote it more aggressively after all, it is good material within the manual.
2. If I ever come up with an improve version of this manual or if I come up with Precision Potting Aiming System, I can write to these people who have received the manual and see if they want this new manual. If I create another link, some or many of these would have missed out.

I have written a 28 pages manual and whether it is useful or not, depends on the individual. To write to me via email really meant nothing to the requester and what he gets is a manual borne from my sweat and perspiration. In future, he could easily block my email or direct it to spam if he doesn't want further correspondence with me.

I am just a simple guy with no ulterior motive and my intention was to hopefully help the average players, where they are seeking to play sidespin effectively, or to increase their percentage in making the pocket.

A few players have already attested that the manual is of use to them, here in Azbilliards and also in my youtube video.

Best wishes and thanks for the suggestion.

It was just a suggestion. Thanks for taking it as such.

Ignatius sent me the manual shortly after I emailed him. Haven't had a chance to read thoroughly but wanted to thank him for it!

My manual came the same day I requested it from Ignatius.
I'm looking forward to spending some time looking over it and gleaning some new info.
Thanks again, Ignatius!

Some of you still pm me here without leaving an email. I can't attach the PDF file here. It is preferable if you email to me directly. Thanx.

The free manual will be given till end of the year. Thereafter, I will either improve the version or I just keep the current version in my hard drive.

If you are not good in playing sidespin, this manual will give you an idea of how and why the cue ball moves as it does, when spin is introduced.

I receive a copy of manual and read it.
The concept is somehow similar to TOI. I have to practice the suggestions in manual to see if it works for me, because I have troubles using English when I need to pot balls.

I didn't fully understand the BHE concept so I may have some problems using it. But I'll give my best effort to make it right.

Will Precision Potting work with a Tiger Ultra X shaft? This is a laminated shaft, not an LD.

Thanks Ignatius for your work and desire to help your billiard mates. Best wishes.

P.S. Even if I understand the necessity, I don't really like the idea of marking my shaft.

Precision Potting

This is a very good tutorial on BHE(Back Hand English) There has been quite a lot of time and effort by PrecisionPotting in putting this manual together. The fact that he is offering this material for free is quite commendable. We should all be very appreciative of his generosity in sharing his effort with our community without ANY financial request at all.

Please feel free to email to me if the manual is not clear enough.

As for marking the shaft, you can do it with blue tack. You can see that my house cue is marked in a similar manner in the youtube (or you can have a temporary paper tag).

There is of course another way, but it isn't precision marking. I can share with you separately if you wish to try out that method. Not as accurate though, but it should do the job most of the time.
