Here is a used predate Jerry Franklin Southwest. Macassar Ebony with BEM points. Both shafts have the old franklin's Micarta ferrules. Cue is in all original condition.

Specs:
Butt: 16.4oz
Shaft 1: 3.7oz (13.31mm)
Shaft 2: 3.7oz (13.44mm)

Condition: There are a couple of finish flaws on the butt (nothing major). The shafts are both used, with the patina(blueing) look but kept in great used condition.

Price: $OLD shipped express worldwide.

I am fairly sure that I was the original owner of the cue. It was mine for just over 20 years. It is a great cue.

I don't think I have ever seen a cue that old with shafts that fat. I assume it was a special order?

I assume the cue is ordered as 13-13.1mm.. Then as it was well kept and humidity here in Asia is higher so it goes a little fatter. As all my other SW goes fat in Taiwan after time..

Again with the caveat that I believe this cue was originally mine. There are 2 distinguishing marks that may support my belief.

I bought my cue from a cue dealer who ordered it about 2.5 years previously. I only measured one shaft in detail and only just before I sold it in 2012. That interface between ferrule and shaft was 13.33 mm. I spoke with Laurie not long after purchasing my cue. IIRC, the shafts were ordered with those dimensions. If someone is more interested, I could probably help trace my cue back to the original order.

While owning my SW, I had the opportunity to play with quite a few other SW cues. I never played with any that I liked nearly as well. My cue remained straight. During the 20 years I owned my cue, it was never touched with a piece of sandpaper. Laurie told me that if I ever did, she would take it away from me.
