predator 1080 chalk.

I have been using just the Predator chalk for the past week instead of masters. I like the predator better. It goes on smoother and coats better than master. It also goes on easier on my break cue with white diamond tip. Seems like I can go several shots longer without re-chalking too.

I have pretty much every type of chalk available now.

Masters
Masters Pre-flag
Triangle
Club
Kamui .98
Kamui 1.21
Balabushka
Blue Diamond
Predator 1080

Predator is the best next to the Kamui in my opinion. I don't think the Kamui is 7x as good (its roughly 7x the price per cube). I do think the Kamui is worth the money if you play a lot. I definitely miscue with the Kamui less than any other chalk with the predator coming in second.

I like the octagonal design and after using it I think the octagon shape makes more sense than the cube.

I have always used Master chalk. I had a new tip installed about 6 months ago. I would miscue about twice a week. I used to shoot with Lepro hard tips and never miscued. I was about to rip the new tip off and have a new one installed.

I ordered the Predator chalk and have now been using the it for the last couple weeks and have not miscued once. Love the chalk! I will buy more when the time comes and I love the shape of it, but then, I don't use pocket chalk holders.

oh don't get me wrong. I don't think that chalk is chalk... I just couldn't find a difference in predator chalk and masters. A friend gave me a piece to try out at home and It's fine. I think it looks cool lol
On a another not my best friend and I exchange a cheap present every year so I bought him a tube of the chalk and he loves it. Thinks it coats much better then masters . To each his own i guess

I felt the same way as you...for a long time. Then my friends had some different chalk, I thought they were crazy, chalk is chalk. A good buddy gave me a box of Blud Diamond...It set in my case for a few months and finally tried it. It coated better than Masters and even though chalking often is a habit, it was better chalk than the Masters. A few weeks ago I ordered some stuff from Seyberts and bought the Predator and Balabushka chalk and decided to see for myself which one best suit my needs. I'm going to start playing with the Balabushka chalk. Maybe it's a mind thing, but the Balabushka chalk stays on better and longer. I still have some Kamuii chalk, but in my mind, $30 for a piece of chalk is crazy. Yes, it's amazing chalk, stays on for multiple shots, but at that pricepoint, I'm no champion and a piece of chalk isn't going to make me a champ.

Spend $25 and get the Predator, BD and Bushka, test them out yourself. If they help your game, even if mentally, it may be worth it.

I've been playing with Predator chalk for a week and find it better alternative to Master, hands down, well compared to Blue Diamond or World Legend - but being cheaper! And that's fair since octagon is made from a regular chalk cube by cutting down the corners ;) Predator fits in a paper box of Blue Diamond, if you know what I mean. Hence it should fit most chalk holders too.
Predator is smooth and holds on the tip good enough to make several hits without chalking up, if necessary. In my poolhall it seemed a bit sticky leaving chalk residue on my bridge hand (and therefore my shaft I assume) but when I played in another room it was completely different, my hand was clean. So I guess the reason might be static electricity from the carpet in a poolhall I frequent.
