PREDATOR 1st Edition 5K7 - When and where was it made and what type of wrap is on it?

I have this PREDATOR 1st Edition 5K7 cue that comes with a 314 2 shaft, and I am very curious when, or what years this model cue was made, and where it was made (here in the USA, or in China), and what type of wrap is on the cue (and if that is some type of wrap that would only be on a Predator cue)?

I never felt a wrap like it before, and am just curious what it is made out of (leather maybe)?

Thanks a lot for any info that you can think of about the cue.

Cue looks to be in great shape. Pretty sure they came out with linen wraps and that wrap looks similar to Predators 'comfort grip' but not exactly. Either way, nice looking cue.

Thanks. It does have a very unique feel to it. Never felt anything like it before. I have a feeling it is not leather, but I have no idea.

Did they ever make Uni - Loc cues in the US? I thought that didn't start until production went overseas.

The wrap I'd a firdt for me. It reminds me of shelf liner. Looks neat though. Probably great for breaking.

The 5k series cues were made within the last 5-6 years I think. Cue was definitely made in china. Wrap looks to be a rubber wrap, and although it does not appear to be a wrap from predator, I do not know who would have installed it. Looks like they did a nice job though
