predator (2) shaft with different tip?

I tried an everest, mori and a wizard on my predator 314-2. Then I put on a kamui.

It was kind of strange. I got enough english but not too much.

When I thought I was getting too much english I found that it was real consistent so the too much was really predictable.

So now when I did need more english I could get a more measured amount which is what we all need.

I've had the tip on for about 3 months now and it has gotten a little harder but still plays real well.

You need to try one of these. Forget about the price for a minute and just try one.

The one I like right now is the tan soft. I'm going to try the kamui black next. Jesse Engle let me hit some with his cue and his tip was old but still played like when my tan was new.

Good Advice. Have a great day geno.........

I've got a Kamui Black soft tip on my OB Classic Pro Shaft and like you, I get a consistent, measured amount of English, more so now than I have in the past from other tips.

Weighting for UPS to deliver my Diveney salvage Lake Wood shaft with a Kamui Black soft on it. They say the submerged wood isn't pretty but hits a ton.:p Beauty is in the eye of the beholder anyway. Me, I'm just looking for performance. It can look like Manwon's Avatar but if it plays well, that's all that matters.

Soft tips are more forgiving of stroke mistakes, and are probably a bit easier to spin a cueball with. I get more spin with a harder tip, but anymore I use a milk dud which plays a bit softer.

How hard of a tip you use is really what you get used to. It is just like cues, no magic tip out there no matter what you hear same as cues.
