Its a 12 3/4 mill shaft that is straight and has one small nick 1/3 of the way down and i do mean small, the rest of the cue is as smooth as glass. The blemish you see is on the joint protector not the shaft, the joint protector has a scuff on it. It plays beautifully, only reason I am getting rid of it is cause I need the money at the moment.
