Just wondering about the Titan material that they are using on these shafts.....Any good? Quality, durability, etc? Also, are these ferrules, capped/uncapped, threaded/unthreaded, etc?

They haven't used Titan since the first run of the second generation shafts. The material used now is called Maxlite. It is a proprietary material. From my experience, it seems to hold up although it scratches easily.

It is capped and sleeved, not threaded.

Cool link Newt'. Did you leave that little white "sleeve/collar" on the ferrule tenon, or face it flush with the ferrule tenon, and then just smooth bore, and glue the new ferrule on?

When I repair the 314^2's I always remove the white stuff on the tenon and
always make a custom fit ferrule with straight walls. Have not had one in return
which I hope is because it holds up.
I alway make the raw ferrule oversized and turn the OD down to the shaft.
Many of the Predator players has been sanding the shaft (cleaning) them down
to a OD which is way off the stock 11,75mm.
ID is normally custom made as well to make a tight fit.
I'm not sure if the company has made the curved tip on the ferrule for some
reason, but I normally chop this off and make a normal capped one.

I'm no Predator represent but I have helped the local boys since they have
got their products from the US - and the local rep has no idea about repairs or service for that matter.

Hope it helped.
