Predator 314-2 recall?

With the quantity they are producing it is inevitable that some are going to fail. Even though the machinery is automated, the human element is still present somewhere in the manufacturing. People have bad days, they do make mistakes.

All considered, I see an improvement in at least the consistency of the quality/sizing.

I believe this whole thing is being blown out of proportion.

314-2 Recall

One thing about Predator's customer service is it's OUTSTANDING. I had a small crack (on the side of the ferrule where it meets the wood shaft) on an regular 314 predator shaft that had a Moori III Medium tip on it. I sent it back for about 15.00 in postage. They sent it back repaired with a new Moori III Medium tip on it for no extra charge. I called them and ask for the bill and they said "it came in with a Moori III and it was sent out with a Moori III at no charge". The shaft was also cleaned up like new. I know it was the same shaft since I had custom ring work done to match my one of a kind cue.

I'm sure Predator will make it right if there is a problem with the ferrules for all of its customers. They are an excellent company that stand behind their products.

I spoke with Darrin Brown account representative for Predator ( 888-314-4111 Ext. 16 ) at the Super Billiards Expo in Valley Forge. There is not an official recall. Darrin requested that I call him after the show was over. I just got off the phone with Darrin he is having UPS pick up my 314 2 shaft this week and they will rework the ferrule for free. I am sending in a Sniper tip with the shaft to be put on since they will remove the ferrule and replace it. He told me the glue used on the ferrule is the problem with them breaking and coming off. Turn around should be between 5 and 10 days to get the shaft back. Just glad I have a backup 314 shaft to use.
