Predator 314 vs Tiger X Shafts vs ....

So after a month of frustration I finally recieved my cue that I bought off ebay. The idiot decided to send me both shafts at 11.5mm even though I asked him to make them 12.5mm. Basically those two shafts make my cue worthless for resale if I decide to sell it in the future. I have never really thought anything special of 314s and X-shafts, except that they both give a very consistent hit. The hit and feel of both shafts is different, and I liked the 314 more, probably because it's lighter, and there are some shots I can hit with more consistency than I can with a regular shaft. If if wasn't for me getting screwed by this cuemaker, I would stick with the original shafts but they are too thin. I can manage 11.5 mm but not with a long straight taper like the ones I got. I figure getting a predator or X shaft, although pricey for me, I can have a shaft that is reliable and a very consistent hit and feel. Plus if I wear down one of the shafts I can just order another one and it will be pretty much the same feel so I don't have to get used to it all over again. What do you all think of these shafts (I know some of you hate them, but try to understand my situation).

As I understand it, you are local to Southern California. You are always welcome to come by the Tiger factory in Burbank and pick up an "X" laminated shaft.

We have a 30 day no reason return policy (we do ask questions though, for future R & D).

Give me a call if interested 818-238-9906

Sincerely,

Corey

Hi Corey,

Can anyone in the Southern California area come by the shop? I might be interested in getting a Stack Leather Wrap in the future and would like to save on shipping/handling costs. Thanks for your info.

Yes Sir. We always welcome visitors and local customers. Many times Stack Wraps can be done while you wait. Just give us a call ahead of time.

If the Predator shaft that you bought is a 314 shaft then he also voided the warranty on the shaft by turning it down that small. If it is a Z shaft then you are still in good shape.
