predator 314 vs Z shaft

when i first started playing pool 2 yrs ago after a long layoff from playing snooker (30 yrs) i decided to buy a falcon cue and added a used 314 shaft.needless to say the decsion was a litlle hasty and later learned the ferrule had been replaced by an amateur and the 314 had lost some of its capabilities.can i have the 314 restored .last winter i demoed a Z shaft against a 314 and found even less deflection.when i asked if the Z was going to be available to fit my falcon the answer was very sketchy.i can't afford a new predator with Z shaft now.what options do i have,if i have to, i would purchase a new 314 shaft. thanks....dkingofnmkt

The front of the shaft can be rebuilt. I do it quite often thanks to the repair people that just don't get it.
