The fifth Predator 9-ball Tour stop begins this Saturday, April 12th at Comet Billiards in Parsippany, NJ. This will be our first stop in New Jersey and we hope to have a large field of new participants.

This will be a 2-day event concluding on Sunday.

NEW!! C/D Handicaps - We have decided to award the top finishing C/D handicap $100. We value these players who come out to support the tour and face the tough competition the tour brings and would like to reward them in their efforts to improve their games. (Note: Player must get past first 2 rounds. In the event of a tie, the fewest racks earned by the C/D's opponents will be the winner. Reporting scores to the tour director is the player's responsibility. Please be certain Finnigan records your score.)

For the ladies - Again, we will also be awarding the top finishing female an additional $100 so ladies, come out and represent. (Not applicable to Top 10 ranked WPBA members)

NEW! Players of the Year - Predator has also agreed to award a brand new Predator Cue to the top finishing Open Player of the year.

NEW EVENT POTENTIAL - We are considering added another $1,000 event to the schedule for Memorial Day Weekend at Masters and would like player input. Please let us know via EMAIL if this is something you would likely attend.

Hey Finnegan,

Please excuse me for being a bit particular about wording but when you use the word "handicap", you actually mean "rating", correct? I am under the impression the Predator Tour has no handicaps.

Hey Jude,

Maybe I don't know the actual definition of the two either, but they are referring to anyone ranked a C/D playing in the tourney.

Just out of curiosity, what is the difference?

Handicap would mean they are getting games on the wire, rating would mean level of play.

OOOhh! Ok, cool! Thanks! Well then yes, the C/D is based on rating. The Predator Tour is an open tourney.

Thanks for the heads up Jude.

LOL, this is like the LSAT logic questions. All handicaps are ratings but not all ratings are handicaps. To say "C Handicap" suggests not everyone plays even-up. To say "C rating" gives no more information than the rating itself.

I must have flunked the LSAT or straight up cheated. Either way, I still find myself befuddled.
