Predator Aspire vs. Mezz Axi

So I was convinced I needed a cue for a friend and if she didn't like it then it's mine. Great suggestions from the budget thread by the way. If there is a possibility of it being mine then I would like to know what do you think about the Aspire and Mezz Axi?

Which one would you choose out of the two as shooters?

Anyone familiar with the Aspire?
 
I don't have a preference, but I have a new Aspire I would sell for $320 including shipping if it's to the US :) I think it's the 1-4 model with black linen wrap and a dusty rose color. It has a solid hit, firm, shot with it maybe 10 shots to see how it was.
 
I play a Mezz AXI, Wavy joint. If I was doing it again I might go with a United joint, basically 5/16-14 and interchanges with Schon and Joss if my memory is correct. Better aftermarket. Both United and Wavy play the same from what I've tried.
 
The AXI series is sadly discontinued, great cues and in a totally different league than Predator.
I actually have one brand new AXI 157 left if you're interested.
